Abby Frimpong is an accomplished development professional with more than a decade of experience in all aspects of corporate and non-profit fundraising.

Ms Frimpong is an inclusive and inspiring leader, adept at cultivating relationships to enhance cooperation and build teamwork, and a creative and strategic planner with a keen eye for detail and a proven, goal-oriented methodology. Her professional experience has included Major Gifts Officer and Director of Annual Giving at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital Foundation, where she increased participation in employee giving initiatives from 8% to 23%, increased attendance for an annual gala fundraiser by almost 50%, successfully sold out ticket sales for an annual golf tournament to raise $500,000 in support of the Hospital’s strategic plan.

Prior to her work with the Foundation. Ms. Frimpong worked at Georgetown Preparatory School in Bethesda, Maryland, The Endocrine Society and Landon School. Ms. Frimpong volunteers her time and expertise to many worthwhile causes in her community. She serves on the Fight 4 Diabetes Cure Committee, providing thought leadership on fundraising goals and practices as well as the Board of So What Else, a grassroots organization focused on enhancing the lives of at-risk youth in the DC Metro area. Internationally, she has worked with Books for Africa and Iniciativas de Paz, where she helped send dozens of physicians to care for residents of remote villages in Ghana.
